'Super Danno' joined Priory at the start of season 1999/00 and has been No.1 in the Priory sticks ever since. Daniel improves every season and is turning into a fine goalkeeper.

His kicking has gone from average to very good and his communication which used to be poor is now excellent. One aspect Daniel has always been faultless on is his shot-stopping which at times is unbelievable.

Daniel's first season was a difficult one as Priory were relegated from the Premier Division, however it was apparent that Manager Colin Miles had found a exiciting prospect and suitable replacement for legendary 'Gloveman' Brian Blackburn.

Another difficult season followed in 2000/01 as Priory struggled in Division 1 but Daniel excelled and was awarded 'Manager's Player of the season' after a busy year in the Priory goalmouth.

Rob Kennedy took over as Manager and with Colin Miles help they began a new leaf bringing in some younger players starting a new era. Success followed shortly and 'Danno's' form between the sticks helped the team win the Division 1 league and Cup 'Double'. He also played his part in reaching the Coward Cup final performing heroically in the final defeat by Heybridge Social.

Season 2002/03 saw Priory back in the Premier Division and Daniel was a busy keeper at times but a respectable 3rd place finish rounded off a decent season for player and club alike.

The following year 2003/04 was an excellent season for Daniel who was a key performer in the club's terrific 'Essex Premier Cup' and 'P&S Premier Cup' runs, he made some vital saves in some nerve racking penalty shoot-out's- particularly in the 'Essex Premier Cup'. Unfortunatley narrow loses in both Cup's meant a trophy-less season two years in a row with the team finishing only 4th in the league.

Daniel and Priory did achieve success in season 2004/05 lifting the 'P&S Premier Cup' after beating rivals Writtle 1-0 in the final with Daniel making some great saves protecting the team's narrow lead.

At this time the improvement in Daniel's game was excelling often saving the team from embarresment in the league, he was begining to look like a top draw goalkeeper. Also the arrival of Adam Linnett (son of former Priory keeper Geoff) who filled in for some games in Daniel's absense with some very good displays and gave him some good competition.

Last season 'Danno' was brilliant making no mistakes(harshly- maybe one) and making some unbelievable saves. In particular in our home game with Highfield Victoria, both keeper's were the 'stars' in a game that should've ended 5-5 but stayed 0-0. He played in all 19 games conceding 26 goals, keeping 6 clean sheets in the team's title success. Daniel was bit of an 'un-sung' hero last season, however he ran Tommy Robinson close in the 'Player's Player of the year' vote and will be looking for yet more success next season.
